  • Dr. W. Stephen Gunter, Theologian in Residence | 2017

    Professor Stephen Gunter returned to ministry at Church of the Servant in September, 2017, as “Theologian in Residence” after more than 2 decades at Emory University and Duke Divinity School – where he served as Research Professor and Associate Dean for Methodist Studies. He has lectured and preached in more than 25 world areas, while remaining active in his annual conference as an ordained Methodist clergy. His most recent book, Arminius and His ‘Declaration of Sentiments’ (Baylor University Press) was recently translated into Portuguese this Summer, and Dr. Gunter conducted a 12-day book tour in Brazil in August, 2017.   • Tom McGee,Director of Senior Adults | 1989 | Oklahoma City


    Tom graduated from Northwest Classen High School and Oklahoma State University with a degree in marketing. He also received advanced degrees from The Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas, and a degree from the School of Bank Administration from the University of Wisconsin. After a 25-year career in banking with the Federal Reserve Bank and Southwestern Bank in Oklahoma City, he became Executive Director for Church of The Servant, responsible for the overall operation of the church, and held that position until retirement. Tom has remained on staff in a part-time capacity, working with Senior Adults, Servant Foundation, and special projects. During most of his career, he was also an adjunct professor at OCCC, teaching in The School of Business for over forty years. He was also a member of the Oklahoma National Guard 45th Infantry Division. He loves spending time with his wife, Judy, and three sons and their families. He enjoys golf, pickle ball, woodworking and all outdoor activities.
