Experiencing God:

Knowing and Doing the Will of God

by Henry Blackaby

An “Old-School” study with a “High-Tech,” social-distancing spin, facilitated by Executive Minister Rev. Randy Shrauner.

Randy Shrauner and Senior Minister Dr. Matthew Mitchell have long wanted to find an opportunity to introduce this study to the congregation, as it is a series of lessons that have profoundly shaped their walk with God. Randy says, "When we began to talk about this as a possibility, I went back and located my personal workbook from the mid-1990’s!"

  • There is a workbook which guides the study with daily reading and reflection which will require 30-40 minutes a day to complete–and fortunately or unfortunately, most of us seem to have a lot of time on our hands at the moment!
  • On a weekly basis, you will receive a link to a thirty-minute video provided by Blackaby Ministries covering and expanding on the week’s study.
  • Then, depending on the demand and the number of individuals who decide to participate, a “Zoom” video conference will be arranged where participants can gather in groups of 10-12 to process all we have learned and experienced during the week.

So many of our discipleship opportunities focus on studies on Scripture or studies about God—all vitally important and necessary things as we grow in our faith. “Experiencing God” moves in a slightly different direction as it invites us to develop a deep and living relationship with God in order that we can experience God working in and through us as we listen carefully for his voice and guidance.

This is a unique and challenging time in the world, in our Church, in our lives and that of our families. A rock-solid understanding of who we are as disciples of Jesus Christ can provide the anchor we each need to weather the storm.

Join us in the coming weeks as we “Experience God” together.
