WHEN IS MINISTRY AVAILABLE FOR SERVANT KIDS?

SUNDAY MORNINGS

SERVANT KIDS IS OPEN!

Kid's Ministry is meeting in person at 9:30 and 11:00 each Sunday morning. Grades 1-5 will meet in The Point Student Center on the south side of the church. Check-in stations are located at the entrance to The Point and parents will need to be present to check-in their kids and get name tags and parent security tags. Temperatures will also be taken during check-in. The kids need to bring a mask with them to wear, but they will have opportunities once we are socially distanced from others to take a mask break to get some fresh air. We will have a lesson, games, and a craft activity. All will be conducted with safety and social distance in mind. You can check out your kids after the worship service by bringing your parent sticker.

Preschool, Kindergarten, and nursery aged kids will meet downstairs for check-in and for their activities.

For those younger kids, temperatures will also be taken but masks are optional.

We provide a teaching summary for each week, and we encourage parents to utilize the tools that correlate with the lessons (found on this page) to discuss their child’s lessons with them during the week. We believe that the family is the primary place of spiritual development and want to equip you with great tools!

JUMP JUMP

ages 3 years-Kindergarten

Sundays in May

Some choices are easy—wearing the red shirt or eating the apple instead of the banana. Then, there are the not so easy decisions. What do we do when the decision is hard and we are struggling to know which way to go?

We believe the first step to making wise choices is trusting that God’s way is perfect. Our prayer is that we can help make many of the 35,000 choices a day our preschoolers will be making one day a whole lot easier. They will know to jump, jump and go God’s way, because God’s way is perfect!

Our memory verse this month comes from 2 Samuel 22:31 and says, “God’s way is perfect.” This month, we will learn that we should go God’s way, even when it’s hard. We can tell others about God’s way.

Whose way is perfect? God’s way is perfect!

5K: RUN THE RACE

Grades 1-5

Sundays in May

This month, we will be learning about the connection between COMMITMENT and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Commitment is making a plan and putting it into action.

Growing in faith is not something that happens by merely cramming more information about the Bible into a child’s brain. All of that knowledge in their head means nothing if we don’t help kids experience what that knowledge can do in their hearts. To fully experience faith, we want kids to practice their faith. And that takes commitment.

Our memory verse this month comes from 1 Timothy 4:8 and says, “Training the body has some value. But being godly has value in every way. It promises help for the life you are now living and the life to come.” We will discuss how we need to keep practicing what matters most. We will learn how you can practice hearing from God, praying to God, talking to God, and living for God. We can’t wait to see you this month to learn about commitment!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

IN SERVANT KIDS

Share Your Faith with Some Awesome Kids! Servant Kids, 3 years through 5th grade, would love for you to join them on Sunday mornings to share your faith and be a witness to them. We have several opportunities to do just that! Do you have 3-6 hours a month to make a difference in a child’s life – a difference that makes an impact for a lifetime? Servant Kids ministry is also searching for adults who are willing to substitute in our Sunday morning program when a leader needs to be gone. This doesn’t happen very often, but when it does, we need someone for an hour during either the 9:30 or 11:00 class times. Express your interest to be volunteer or to ask us questions by filling out this form. Contact Kourtney Aller here or 405-728-4715. The email or phone call is not a life commitment, but it can change a child’s life forever.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

We will be highlighting some of our very special and wonderful volunteers. This will help you get to know them better and also let you know who is leading our children on their spiritual journeys. If you see them around church, give them a hug or a high five for their hard work and dedication to kid’s ministries! Click here to view their profiles and to sign up as a volunteer!

CHECKPOINT SYSTEM

The safety of your children is of utmost importance to us. That is why we use the Checkpoint system to check your children “in and out” when they are in our care. First Time Guests should check in with a staff member to get a temporary sticker.

Servant Kids Discipline Policy

When a child spends time in Servant Kids Ministries, it is the heartfelt desire of the staff that these are the best hours of a child’s week. Periodically children are disruptive and even disrespectful to their teachers and peers. The purpose of having a discipline policy is to insure, if a child’s behavior affects the opportunity for them and other children to have a positive learning experience during any Servant Kids Ministry program, that there is a plan in place that benefits everyone.  To view this policy, click here.

Servant Kids Safe & Secure Guidelines

Servant Kids Ministry strives in every way possible to ensure a safe and secure environment for each of the kids in our care.  A policy is in place to be certain this happens. To view this policy, click here

RECONNECT: BUILD A BRIDGE

Grades 1-5

Sundays in April

This month, we will be learning about the connection between PEACE and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Peace is proving you care more about each other than winning an argument.

When Adam and Eve decided that their way was better than God’s way and broke God’s rule, they changed the relationship between God and His creation. When once everything and everyone could be in the presence of God, now we were at odds with God. God could have done anything He wanted, including wiping us out and starting over. But instead, God decided to make peace with us. Ultimately God did this through His Son, Jesus.

When Jesus rose from the dead, He paid the price for everything that was wrong and unfair in this world. Because of Jesus, we can have peace. We don’t have to get even. Instead, we can reflect the character of Christ by caring for others and making peace.

Our memory verse this month comes from Roman 14:19 and says, “So let us do all we can to live in peace. And let us work hard to build up one another.” We will discuss how God made peace with us and we can make peace with others. We will learn how you can show you care about others by walking away from a fight and by being part of the solution. We can’t wait to see you this month to learn about peace!

FLY A KITE

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in April

This month, we are going to be talking about something that is high and wide and deep. Do you know what it is? Yes, it’s the love of Jesus. Jesus’ love for each of us is so wide and long and high and deep that we can’t even measure it! And, we are going to have so much fun introducing this truth to our preschoolers this month!

We start the month with the best Sunday of the year—Easter! How exciting that we get to share the story of Easter with our youngest friends this month. Some of them will be hearing for the very first time that Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Yes! Jesus is alive, and He wants to be our friend forever!

We want to share the good news that Jesus is alive with our preschoolers all month long. We want them to hear over and over again that Jesus wants to be their friend forever. We want this foundational truth of Jesus’ great love for them to live in each preschooler’s heart.

Our memory verse this month comes from Ephesians 3:18 and says, “How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” This month, we will learn that Jesus is alive and wants to be our friend forever. He taught us how to love one another. We can tell others about Jesus.

Who wants to be your friend forever? Jesus wants to be my friend forever!

BAKE OFF: IT'S WORTH THE WAIT

Grades 1-5

Sundays in March

This month, we will be learning about the connection between PATIENCE and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Patience is waiting until later for what you want now.

Waiting is a part of life. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait on our own. God can help us experience the patience we need to wait well. After all, God is patient. God is in control and knows what’s best for us. Even though God’s people had been waiting for years for the promised Savior, at just the right time, God sent Jesus. As we are created in God’s image, we can reflect His patience in our lives. We can be patient when we remember what God has done and trust God no matter what.

Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm 27:14 and says, “Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don’t lose hope. Wait for the Lord.” We will discuss how when you have to wait, remember God is with you and remember what’s true. We will learn about if you don’t wait, it could cost you. You can celebrate even when you’re waiting. We can’t wait to see you this month to learn about patience!

START YOUR ENGINES

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in March

When race car drivers hear the call to “start your engines,” the mission is clear, and they are ready to go, go, go! The same can be said for those of us who follow Jesus. Jesus is calling each of us to start our engines and go do what He has prepared us to do. His call is to “love each other the way I have loved you.” Yes, the mission is clear, and it’s time for us to help our preschoolers get ready to go, go, go and love, love, love—like Jesus!

And, how do we love like Jesus? We put others first and are a good friend. We share with others, help others, and say kind words to each other. When we do these things, our light shines bright and the love of Jesus shines through us.

Preschoolers want to show everyone that, “I can do it. I can put on my shoes. I can make my bed. I can carry heavy things.” Let’s help them add, “I can love like Jesus,” to that list. Now, start your engines!

Our memory verse this month comes from John 15:12 and says, “Love each other as I have loved you.” This month, we will learn that when you love like Jesus, you will be a light, you can be a good friend, and you can love everyone. We can celebrate Jesus!

Who can love like Jesus? I can love like Jesus.

SUPER FAN: CHEER EACH OTHER ON

Grades 1-5

Sundays in February

This month, we will be learning about the connection between KINDNESS and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Kindness is showing others they are valuable by how you treat them.

God was kind to us even when we didn’t deserve it. Because of His love for us, we can be kind to everyone. Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit. And when you show kindness to others, you give them a glimpse into the heart of God, and how much God loves them. Kindness should be a characteristic of people who follow Jesus. Not only did Jesus model kindness, but He also commanded it. He taught us to treat others the way we want to be treated.

Our memory verse this month comes from Colossians 3:12 and says, “You are God’s chosen people. You are holy and dearly loved. So put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proud. Be gentle and patient.”

We will discuss how you are supposed to be kind to others because God is kind to you, and also how to be kind to your family and friends.  We will learn about being kinder than you have to be and also to be kind to people who are different from you.

THE SANDBOX

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in February

God made us for love—the greatest love. He made that clear when He sent His Son, Jesus, to show us how to give and receive His love.

When Jesus walked the Earth, He was God’s love in the flesh. Jesus showed us time and time again that He loves us. That’s why our focus this month is the powerful truth Jesus loves me. We were all made for His love! And that is why we chose The Big Sandbox for the theme. We want every child to know that Jesus is their friend and He is inviting them—all of them—to join Him, because He loves them. Everyone can play in The Big Sandbox!

In a world where people and circumstances can easily make a person feel unloved, it is our desperate prayer that we can equip our preschoolers with the powerful truth that Jesus loves me. We want our preschoolers to live life knowing and believing—never doubting—that they are loved by the greatest love, and nothing will ever change that. After all, this is what they were made for—they were made for His love.

Our memory verse this month comes from Proverbs 17:17 and says, “A friend loves at all times.” This month, we will learn that Jesus loves me, wants to spend time with me, and wants to help me. Jesus loves me no matter what.

Who loves you? Jesus loves me!

RULES FOR LIFE: PLAY WELL. FINISH STRONG.

Grades 1-5

Sundays in January

This month, we will be learning about the connection between RESPONSIBILITY and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Responsibility is showing you can be trusted with what is expected from you.

The psalmist wrote, The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, (NIrV). God is the author of creation, and God has entrusted us to care for and cultivate it. We do that by taking responsibility. From the work we need to accomplish to people we meet to the words we use; life is filled with moments where we can decide to reflect God’s character, take responsibility, and use what we have wisely. When we follow through and do what needs to be done, we can point others to Jesus, the One who took the ultimate responsibility for us and made it possible for us to be with God forever.

Our memory verse this month comes from Luke 16:10a and says, “Suppose you can be trusted with something very little. Then you can also be trusted with something very large.” We will discuss how you are supposed to love God and love others, as the Greatest Commandment tells us to do. We will learn about working hard, sharing what we have, making the most of what we’ve been given, and using our words wisely.

OUT OF THIS WORLD

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in January

This month is going to be Out of This World! We are going to use this fun and exciting theme to help teach preschoolers about the most amazing thing ever, which turns out isn’t a thing at all. No! He’s a person! You know who I’m talking about – Jesus! We are teaching preschoolers that Jesus is amazing! And, we’re doing it by sharing stories about some of Jesus’ amazing miracles.

Jesus displayed an amazing understanding of God when He was at the temple as just a young boy. The people who heard Him were amazed! Jesus calmed a storm with just a word. Amazing! Jesus filled fishermen’s nets with fish. Amazing! Jesus healed a blind man with mud and spit. Amazing!

This world, well this universe, is filled with amazing things, but nothing will ever be more amazing than the One who created it all. Jesus is amazing, and we want our preschoolers to know it!

Our memory verse this month comes from Luke 2:47 and says, “Everyone who heard him was amazed.” We will learn that Jesus’ teaching, healing, power, and miracles are amazing.

Who is amazing? Jesus is amazing!

SIMPLY CHRISTMAS: NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

Grades 1-5

Sundays in December

This month, we will be learning about the connection between CHRISTMAS and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Christmas is celebrating Jesus, God’s greatest gift.

Christmas can be filled with all sorts of emotions. Some people easily experience the joy of the season. Some rest in the hope that God is making all things new. But others struggle to find peace due to life’s circumstances. With all that’s going on this time of year, we thought it’d be great to go back to the basics and simply celebrate Christmas.

The truth is Jesus is best gift God ever gave. Jesus was proof that God loves us and we can trust God no matter what. Because of Jesus, it’s possible for us to have a relationship with God that will last forever. As we remember the Christmas story, we take time to celebrate the greatest gift the world has ever known and rediscover, joy and hope and peace as we rest in the unconditional love of God.

Our memory verse this month comes from Luke 2:11 and says, “Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord.” We will discuss how you can have hope because God keeps his promises, and you can have joy because God has a plan for you. God loved us so much that He gave us a Savior, and God’s peace is for everyone.

CHRISTMAS COOKIES

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in December

Merry Christmas! We are going to have an incredibly sweet month as we combine the Christmas story with Christmas cookies! It is going to be so much fun!

While cookie cutters, decorations, and excitement will fill this entire month, the focus will be Jesus — specifically, Jesus is God’s Son. We want every preschooler to know that what we are celebrating this time of year is the wonderful truth that God loved the world so much that He gave us His only Son, Jesus.

Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm John 3:16 and says, “God loved the world so much that he gave his only son.” We pray that we will all enter this month with the same wonder the shepherds had as they heard the good news for the very first time—a wonder that will inspire us all to go and tell everyone, everywhere that Jesus is God’s Son.

Why is Jesus special? Jesus is God’s son!

SHOUT OUT: LET 'EM KNOW YOU'RE THANKFUL

Grades 1-5

Sundays in November

This month, we will be learning about the connection between GRATITUDE and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Gratitude is letting others know you see how they’ve helped you.

Gratitude sometimes feels like a lost art. Yet gratitude is an idea close to God’s heart. Think about all of the Bible stories where people give thanks to each other, celebrate God with feasts and festivals—not to mention the Psalms filled songs of praise. Just take a moment to consider everything God has done for you: the world He made, the promises He’s kept, the new life He offers through Jesus. When we remember all of that, we can always be thankful.

Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm 136:1 and says, “Give thanks to the Lord, because He is good. His faithful love continues forever.” We will discuss how you always have something to be thankful for. We can celebrate what God has done, say thank you, and adjust our attitudes.

We will learn about getting in the habit of being grateful.

THANKFUL TREE

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in November

It’s time to make thankful trees! Making thankful trees is so much fun! The colors get prettier and prettier as the trees get bigger and bigger. And, it feels so good to think about and write down what we’re thankful for – for an entire month!

This time of year helps us refocus on all the good in our lives. And there is SO much good when it comes to God. Because God is good! is what we want preschoolers to learn this month. God is good and we have A LOT we can thank Him for.

Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm 107:1 and says, “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.” So, get ready to create those thankful trees and tell God, “Thank You” for all the good things He’s made and done! We can’t wait to celebrate thankfulness all month long! And, in case you didn’t know, we are very thankful for you and all that you do to help preschoolers know that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Who is good?

God is good!

OFFSTAGE: DROP THE ACT

GRADES 1-5

SUNDAYS IN OCTOBER

This month, we will be learning about the connection between integrity and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Integrity is choosing to be truthful in whatever you say and do.

Since the very beginning, not only has God has been true to His word but He’s been faithful in His character. Because we know that God is good, we can live life with integrity. When Jesus lived on earth, He lived a perfect life that we are unable to live. Through His Spirit, we can become people of integrity. Who we are in private should match who we are in public. When we trust in God, we can be truthful in whatever we say and do.

Our memory verse this month comes from Proverbs 10:9 and says, “Anyone who lives without blame walks safely. But anyone who takes a crooked path will get caught.” We will discuss how to be truthful with your whole life. Being truthful with God keeps you close to Him. When you’re not truthful, you lost trust. Focus on what’s true.

SINGING IN THE RAIN

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in October

People of all ages experience circumstances that leave us looking for someone who can help—someone who’s got our back and can help carry the load. This month, we want to begin teaching preschoolers that God is the best Someone for the job. No matter what our situation or how uncertain our circumstances may be, we can know that God is with us wherever we go, and God’s got it. This kind of trust in God is what allows us to Sing in the Rain.

Our memory verse this month comes from Joshua 1:9 and says, “God is with you wherever you go.” There’s always a chance of rain in our lives or in the lives of our preschoolers. Many of us have already come through some pretty big rainstorms. Some of us are in them right now. That is why it is our sincere prayer that during this month we and our preschoolers will begin to trust that God’s got it. This kind of trust in God is what will give you and me and our preschoolers the power to sing in the rain—no matter what that rain might be.

GRADES 1-5

SUNDAYS IN September

This month, we will be learning about the connection between friendship and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Friendship is using your words and actions to show others you care.

Jesus showed us the greatest example of love when He laid down His life for His friends. With His words and actions, He showed friendship to everyone He met. We can reflect Jesus’ love best when we treat one another with friendship.

Our memory verse this month comes from Proverbs 17:17 and says, “A friend loves at all times. They are there to help when trouble comes.” We will discuss how you should choose your friends carefully. Friends love one another, encourage one other, and forgive one another.

Ice Cream Sundae

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in September

We have been reminded over the past several months just how important it is to believe that God has a plan for me. Our world has changed. Everything we had planned changed. Hurt, disappointment, fear, loss, sickness... all of it has left us wondering, what will happen next? And, while we won’t ever truly know what will happen next in any given situation, God does, because God has a plan for you, and God has a plan for me.

This month, we are going to use the super sweet theme of Ice Cream Sundae, along with the life of Joseph, to teach preschoolers that God has a plan for them. When we put all of the parts of Joseph’s story together—just as with an ice cream sundae—it gives us a sweet reminder that we can trust that God has a plan for me, and it is always best. We just have to wait until God is done putting all of the parts together.

Our memory verse this month comes from Jeremiah 29:11 and says, “‘For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord.” Who has a plan for you? God has a plan for me.  Our hope this month is that preschoolers will begin to understand that God loves them, and He has a plan for them—a plan they can trust is always best, no matter what.

INDESCRIBABLE: YOUR CREATOR HAS NO LIMITS

GRADES 1-5

SUNDAYS IN AUGUST

This month, we will be learning about the connection between creativity and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Creativity is imagining what you could do because you were made in God’s image.

When we look outside and see the beautiful world around us, we’re reminded that God is SO great, powerful, and creative. From the birds flying high in the sky to the planets orbiting the sun to animals scampering around the earth, each one points to God’s indescribable creativity. Jesus used creativity in how He told parables, performed miracles, and helped His followers understand more about what it means to be part of God’s Kingdom. On top of that, we’re created in God’s image. We can solve problems, create art and music, design skyscrapers high into the sky. When we create, we reflect the image of God to the world around us.

Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm 145:3 and says, “Lord, you are great. You are really worthy of praise. No one can completely understand how great you are.” We will discuss how there is no limit to God’s creativity and God created us, so we can be creative. We will learn that God created us for a purpose and also to work with others. God created us to share His story.

Say Cheese!

Preschool-Kindergarten

Sundays in August

I am wonderfully made in God’s image! Do you ever think about yourself like that—that you are wonderfully made in God’s image? We tend to forget about all of the wonder that went into making us as we become grown- ups. Time has a way of dulling our shine. It’s part of the reason why people have to prod us to ‘say cheese’ when they take our picture.

I think if we really, really, really believed that we are wonderfully made in God’s image, no one would ever have to tell us to smile when they pulled out a camera. We would be smiling from ear-to-ear as we lived in the wonder that God made me!

That is what we want for preschoolers. We want them to smile with confidence, because they know God made me.

Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm 139:14 and says, “‘I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Who made you? God made me.  We are wonderfully made in God’s image. We are so important to God that he sent us Jesus. He made us to help others, and we can talk to him anytime, anywhere, and about anything.

FOCUS: TAKE A CLOSER LOOK

GRADES 1-5

In June and July, we will be learning about the connection between faith and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. God has always been involved in the world He created. We see His handiwork on display in creation. We see God’s love on display through Jesus, who came to rescue us. We respond to God in faith, believing in what we can’t see because of what we can see. When we focus on what we know to be true about God and the world God created, we can have faith in what we can’t see or fully understand.
Our memory verse for June comes from Hebrews 11:1 and says, “Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.”

Our memory verse for July is from Ephesians 2:8 and says, "God's grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn't come from anything you do.

It is God's gift."

In June, we will discuss how you can know Jesus even though you’ve never seen Him. We will talk about how knowing Jesus changes the way you see everything and can help you face your fears. Knowing Jesus changes the way you see others.

In July, we will talk about how Jesus is a gift for everyone and how you can help others know Jesus. We will learn how knowing Jesus changes the way you see your problems and how following Jesus will turn out greater than you can imagine.

I SPY

AGES 3 YEARS THROUGH KINDERGARTEN

June and July are all about what we can spy with our little eyes. Get ready for I Spy! It’s a great theme that not only helps us see the things that help us believe in Jesus, but it also goes right along with our VBS theme, Focus. Get it? Focus. I Spy. It’s all about the eyes.

Whether it’s in our curriculum or VBS, we are helping preschoolers see so they can believe in Jesus. We will have one key question and bottom line for June and July. We don’t think we can say these too much. They are that good. Get ready to ask, “who can believe in Jesus” and respond with, “I can believe in Jesus,” over and over again.

Our memory verse this month comes from John 20:31 and says, “These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.” Who can believe in Jesus? I can believe in Jesus! Our hope is that each of your preschoolers will have the truth that they can believe in Jesus with them forever.

LEMONADE STAND

AGES 3 YEARS THROUGH KINDERGARTEN

We are using a lemonade stand theme this month to welcome in the warmer days and introduce preschoolers to the amazing truth that God loves me. We want preschoolers to know that God has put a lot of planning and creating and love into each of them. And, just like you can’t separate the water from the sugar from the lemon juice once you mix them, NOTHING can separate us from God’s love.

Throughout the month our preschoolers will hear how the Bible teaches us that God made us in His image, has a plan for us, and will never stop loving us. So, think a lot of love and a little lemon – mix it all together and we will get an entire month of God loves me!

Our memory verse this month comes from Romans 8:39 and says, “‘Nothing at all can ever separate us from God’s love.” Who loves you? God loves me. Our prayer is that every preschooler will walk away knowing that God made them and God loves them. And NOTHING will ever change that!

UNSTUCK: DON’T GIVE UP
GRADES 1-5

This month, we will be learning about the connection between determination and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Throughout the Bible, we read about all sorts of people who showed determination in the face of hardship and difficulty. They relied on God’s strength to get them through it. Even Jesus Himself endured through the pain of the cross so that we would be able to have a forever relationship with God. When it comes to the situations in our own lives, God gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us to keep going, even when life gets difficult.

Our memory verse this month comes from Galatians 6:9 and says, “Let us not become tired of doing good. At the right time we will gather a crop if we don’t give up.” We will discuss how to keep going even when it seems impossible and how God gives you what you need to keep going. We will talk about how you should keep going even when it gets tough and even when you have questions because God knows the end of the story.

BLOOM

AGES 3 YEARS THROUGH KINDERGARTEN

Everywhere we look in spring we see green starting to push through the soil and trees heavy with buds getting ready to bloom. Everything just feels so ALIVE! It’s the perfect picture to help teach preschoolers that Jesus is alive! We are sharing with preschoolers the life changing truth that Jesus is alive and He wants to be their friend forever. We are planting seeds that we pray will grow and bloom into a faith that is as alive as Jesus. A love that will love like Jesus. A compassion that will care like Jesus. A life that will give like Jesus.

Our memory verse this month comes from Revelation 1:18 and says, “‘I am alive for ever and ever!” Who is alive? Jesus is alive.  Each time you see a flower bloom, let it be a sweet reminder of the tremendous privilege we have to GO and TELL preschoolers and their families that Jesus is alive.

UPSIDE DOWN: JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING

GRADES 1-5

This month, we will be learning about the connection between humility and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Humility is putting others first by giving up what you think you deserve.

We live in a me-centered world, where people act as if the world revolves around them. Figuring out how to be humble can be difficult. But we don’t have to figure this out on our own. When Jesus was on earth, He gave us the ultimate example of humility. Jesus is God, and He put that aside for us. Through His life and death, He also showed us how to serve others and put them first.

Our memory verse this month comes from Philippians 2:3 and says, “Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourselves.” We will discuss how to put others first because Jesus put us first. We will learn that there’s always more to discover about God’s plan.

FOLLOW THE LEADER

AGES 3 YEARS THROUGH KINDERGARTEN

Following a leader is something preschoolers love and understand. What they need to learn is that throughout life, there will be countless choices of leaders they can follow. We want them to know who the best leader is to follow. And that is Jesus! Jesus is the best leader we can follow! Our memory verse this month comes from Matthew 4:19 and says, “‘Come and follow me,’ Jesus said.” Who can you follow? I can follow Jesus. By the end of this month, when we ask preschoolers, “who can you follow?”, our prayer is that they will answer, “I can follow Jesus.” Why? Because Jesus loves us, and He will always lead us in the best way.

DIY: FORGIVENESS IS UP TO YOU

GRADES 1-5

This month, we will be learning about the connection between forgiveness and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Forgiveness is deciding that someone who has wronged you doesn’t have to pay. Throughout the Bible, we can read about the importance of forgiveness. Right from the start, God made a way for Adam and Eve to have a relationship with Him again. The same is true for us. No matter how much we mess up, God will always make a way to forgive us. When it comes to forgiveness, we can also look to Jesus, who chose to forgive even those who were crucifying Him. Because of God’s amazing forgiveness, we should work hard to forgive others. Our memory verse this month comes from Colossians 3:13 and says, “Put up with one another. Forgive one another if you are holding something against someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you.” We will discuss how we forgive others because God forgives us and how, when you forgive others, it can change them. We will learn about taking the first step to forgive others and how everyone needs to be forgiven.
