Servant has a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! It meets downstairs with kid-friendly rooms that engage your children at their age level – from birth through 5th grade.

WHEN IS MINISTRY AVAILABLE FOR SERVANT KIDS?
SERVANT KIDS IS OPEN!
Kid's Ministry is meeting in person at 9:30 and 11:00 each Sunday morning. Grades 1-5 will meet in The Point Student Center on the south side of the church. Check-in stations are located at the entrance to The Point and parents will need to be present to check-in their kids and get name tags and parent security tags. Temperatures will also be taken during check-in. The kids need to bring a mask with them to wear, but they will have opportunities once we are socially distanced from others to take a mask break to get some fresh air. We will have a lesson, games, and a craft activity. All will be conducted with safety and social distance in mind. You can check out your kids after the worship service by bringing your parent sticker.
Preschool, Kindergarten, and nursery aged kids will meet downstairs for check-in and for their activities.
For those younger kids, temperatures will also be taken but masks are optional.
We provide a teaching summary for each week, and we encourage parents to utilize the tools that correlate with the lessons (found on this page) to discuss their child’s lessons with them during the week. We believe that the family is the primary place of spiritual development and want to equip you with great tools!

At Church of the Servant, we want to provide parents with the information they need to ensure their children are safe, secure, and have a positive experience during any Servant Kids Ministry program. It is the heartfelt desire of the staff that these are the best hours of a child’s week and parents can be confident that there is a plan in place to address discipline, safety, and security that benefits everyone. OUT OF THIS WORLD
Preschool-Kindergarten
Sundays in January
This month is going to be Out of This World! We are going to use this fun and exciting theme to help teach preschoolers about the most amazing thing ever, which turns out isn’t a thing at all. No! He’s a person! You know who I’m talking about – Jesus! We are teaching preschoolers that Jesus is amazing! And, we’re doing it by sharing stories about some of Jesus’ amazing miracles.
Jesus displayed an amazing understanding of God when He was at the temple as just a young boy. The people who heard Him were amazed! Jesus calmed a storm with just a word. Amazing! Jesus filled fishermen’s nets with fish. Amazing! Jesus healed a blind man with mud and spit. Amazing!
This world, well this universe, is filled with amazing things, but nothing will ever be more amazing than the One who created it all. Jesus is amazing, and we want our preschoolers to know it!
Our memory verse this month comes from Luke 2:47 and says, “Everyone who heard him was amazed.” We will learn that Jesus’ teaching, healing, power, and miracles are amazing.

Grades 1-5
Sundays in January
This month, we will be learning about the connection between RESPONSIBILITY and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Responsibility is showing you can be trusted with what is expected from you.
The psalmist wrote, The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, (NIrV). God is the author of creation, and God has entrusted us to care for and cultivate it. We do that by taking responsibility. From the work we need to accomplish to people we meet to the words we use; life is filled with moments where we can decide to reflect God’s character, take responsibility, and use what we have wisely. When we follow through and do what needs to be done, we can point others to Jesus, the One who took the ultimate responsibility for us and made it possible for us to be with God forever.
Our memory verse this month comes from Luke 16:10a and says, “Suppose you can be trusted with something very little. Then you can also be trusted with something very large.” We will discuss how you are supposed to love God and love others, as the Greatest Commandment tells us to do. We will learn about working hard, sharing what we have, making the most of what we’ve been given, and using our words wisely.

CHRISTMAS COOKIES
Preschool-Kindergarten
Sundays in December
Merry Christmas! We are going to have an incredibly sweet month as we combine the Christmas story with Christmas cookies! It is going to be so much fun!
While cookie cutters, decorations, and excitement will fill this entire month, the focus will be Jesus — specifically, Jesus is God’s Son. We want every preschooler to know that what we are celebrating this time of year is the wonderful truth that God loved the world so much that He gave us His only Son, Jesus.
Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm John 3:16 and says, “God loved the world so much that he gave his only son.” We pray that we will all enter this month with the same wonder the shepherds had as they heard the good news for the very first time—a wonder that will inspire us all to go and tell everyone, everywhere that Jesus is God’s Son.

This month, we will be learning about the connection between CHRISTMAS and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Christmas is celebrating Jesus, God’s greatest gift.
Christmas can be filled with all sorts of emotions. Some people easily experience the joy of the season. Some rest in the hope that God is making all things new. But others struggle to find peace due to life’s circumstances. With all that’s going on this time of year, we thought it’d be great to go back to the basics and simply celebrate Christmas.
The truth is Jesus is best gift God ever gave. Jesus was proof that God loves us and we can trust God no matter what. Because of Jesus, it’s possible for us to have a relationship with God that will last forever. As we remember the Christmas story, we take time to celebrate the greatest gift the world has ever known and rediscover, joy and hope and peace as we rest in the unconditional love of God.
Our memory verse this month comes from Luke 2:11 and says, “Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord.” We will discuss how you can have hope because God keeps his promises, and you can have joy because God has a plan for you. God loved us so much that He gave us a Savior, and God’s peace is for everyone.

Parent Cue App
Parents, while we do not know how long we will be meeting online, we still want to equip you with the resources that you need to teach your kids about Jesus.
If you haven’t downloaded the Parent Cue App yet, this is the perfect time to do it. This gives you access to the Bible Story Videos and you get activities too. If you have multiple kids, no worries. You can create a profile for each of them so you can receive content that meets them on THEIR level!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
IN SERVANT KIDS
Share Your Faith with Some Awesome Kids! Servant Kids, 3 years through 5th grade, would love for you to join them on Sunday mornings to share your faith and be a witness to them. We have several opportunities to do just that! Do you have 3-6 hours a month to make a difference in a child’s life – a difference that makes an impact for a lifetime? Servant Kids ministry is also searching for adults who are willing to substitute in our Sunday morning program when a leader needs to be gone. This doesn’t happen very often, but when it does, we need someone for an hour during either the 9:30 or 11:00 class times.
