JULY FISH APPEAL
Project Transformation
This month, our Fish Fund supports Project Transformation, a United Methodist ministry that helps children improve their reading skills while building confidence and lasting relationships with caring adults. Church of the Servant has been actively involved this summer with 18 volunteers serving as reading partners at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Our congregation has also provided dinner for the college-age interns leading the camp and donated 200 snacks for the children attending each day.

Every gift to the July Fish Fund helps support ministries that provide literacy programming, educational enrichment, meals, and encouragement for children in our community. If you would like to see Project Transformation in action, Pat McGarrity will lead a brief tour of the Chapel Hill site on Tuesday, July 14, at 10:30 AM. Meet at the east entrance of Chapel Hill UMC (2717 W. Hefner Rd.). To learn more, contact Pat McGarrity at (405) 990-2265. Thank you for helping children discover the confidence that comes one page, one book, and one caring volunteer at a time. For more information, go HERE.

CHURCH FAMILY COOKBOOK
Recipe Deadline: July 18, 2026

We’re creating something special—a Church of the Servant family cookbook, hosted by Women’s Ministries—and we would love for you to be part of it!
This cookbook will be filled with the recipes that bring us together… from potlucks and holidays to everyday favorites shared around the table. Each recipe tells a story, and together they will create a meaningful collection from our church family.
Imagine flipping through pages filled with familiar names and beloved recipes from your church family.
We invite you to submit one or more of your favorite recipes—family classics, holiday dishes, potluck go-tos, or anything that’s special to you. Simply complete a RECIPE FORM and place it in the clear plastic box at the Welcome Center by July 18, 2026.
Cookbooks will be available for purchase later this year—just in time for Christmas gift-giving! Thank you for sharing a piece of your kitchen and your story. We can’t wait to see this collection come together. Questions? Please contact Cindy Fast at cfast@churchoftheservant.com.

LADIES' MISSION DAY
July 18, 2026

Join us for a meaningful day of service and connection at our Ladies’ Mission Day on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM at Church of the Servant.
We’ll begin the day by assembling snack packs for the Infant Crisis Center, followed by lunch and fellowship. In the afternoon, we’ll carpool to the Infant Crisis Center to serve hands-on, helping package diapers, assemble food boxes, and meet real needs for families in our community. No experience needed—just come with a willing heart! Please register by July 6, 2026.  For more information, go to ServantOKC.org/ladies-mission-day | REGISTER HERE | AMAZON WISH LIST

BLESS OUR SCHOOLS! BLESS A TEACHER!
Pick up boxes - July 19 & 26 | Return by August 2

As the new school year approaches, Church of the Servant is excited to bring back the Bless Our Schools Teacher Supply Boxes. This is a simple and meaningful way to support local teachers as they prepare their classrooms and welcome students for a new year of learning. This year, we are partnering with Spring Creek Elementary School. Stop by the table at church on Sunday, July 19 or Sunday, July 26 to pick up an empty supply box and a list of requested classroom items. Please fill your box with supplies and return it to church by Sunday, August 2. Together, we can help equip teachers, encourage students, and show our community that Church of the  Servant is praying for a wonderful school year. Thank you for helping us bless our schools and bless a teacher!

MISSION AND MINISTRY FAIR
Sunday, August 16 | 11:00 AM

Mark your calendars now for the Second Annual Church of the Servant Mission and Ministry Fair to take place in the concourse following Sunday morning service. Our concourse will be lined with booths representing the many Mission and Ministries carried out by your church. As you visit each booth, you will have the opportunity to learn about what that mission and ministry does, get information, and find out about how you can become more involved. Whether you are new to our family of faith or have been part of Church of the Servant for decades, this will be a Sunday you will not want to miss as you get to witness firsthand the breadth and width of what God is doing in this place and discern just where God is calling you to be a part of it.

To the leaders of our various Mission and Ministries, we obviously want you to participate! From Sunday School Classes and Bible Studies, to ongoing missions, to various service teams, we need to hear from you. Please reach out to Belongings Coordinator Cindy Fast at cfast@churchoftheservant.com, and she will get you signed up for your own booth and share more information about how you can prepare for this important event.
