ADVENT BIBLE STUDY
The Gospel According to Scrooge
December 3, 2025, 6:30-7:30 PM
Join Pastor Kyle this Advent for a look at Charles Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol." Participants will be invited to read Dickens’ classic tale and, together, we’ll examine how the redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge might aid us in rediscovering the meaning of Christmas this Advent season.
Join on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM in the Community Hall, December 3, 10, and 17. Or, are you involved in other Wednesday night ministries, or prefer not to drive after dark? Bring your lunch and join Pastor Kyle on Thursdays at Noon in classroom 4. For questions or to sign up, please contact Pastor Kyle at kanderson@churchoftheservant.com.
BLUE CHRISTMAS
Sunday, December 7, 1:00 PM
As we approach the season of Advent and Christmas, we recognize that not all things are “Merry and Bright” for each member of our faith family. For many of us, this past year has been marked with difficult transitions, hardships, or loss, and it is more than just the lengthening nights that seem dark. For those who are not quite ready to sing Joy to the World and would benefit from spending some time acknowledging the difficulty of the season, we’d like to invite you to join us for our annual Blue Christmas service on Sunday, December 7th, at 1:00 PM in Chapel of the Cross. This service will include time of prayer, reflection, and listening for God’s words of comfort for those who mourn this season.
Faith, Hope & Art
December 9, 6:00 - 8:30 PM
LADIES: Bring a friend and join us on Tuesday, December 9, 6:00 - 8:30 PM in Community Hall for a fun evening of art and sweets. The cost is $15 and includes desserts, coffee, and all the art supplies you will need to complete a beautiful Christmas-themed art project.
We will paint Christmas bulbs on a tree with acrylic paint on a canvas. You don’t have to be artistic to complete this project. Easy, step-by-step instructions will be provided, and basic acrylic painting techniques will be demonstrated. All materials and supplies will be provided. Come have some fun while exploring your own creativity. Your masterpiece will truly be one of a kind! Register HERE.
ATTENDANCE:
Please take a moment to fill out the blue attendance pad located at the end of each pew. You can also use the Self Check-in that is now available in the Digital Bulletin.
