toy box

Sundays in SEPTEMBER | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

Many of us remember a special toy or plush friend from our Toy Box that gave us comfort and companionship when we needed it. It’s part of growing up. We were made to want someone with us. And that Someone is Who we will be talking about this month. He is the only One who can truly always be with us.

We will say countless times this month, “God is always with me.” We want our preschoolers to believe it with all of their hearts. With this truth as a foundation, they can be brave and wise. They can have courage and strength.
Then, when the times comes that their favorite toy, blanket, or pillow cannot be with them, they will know that there is Someone who loves them and will always be with them. No matter where they go or what they do God is always with them . . . and you.

Our memory verse this month comes from 2 Chronicles 32:8 and says, “We have the Lord our God to help us.” This month, we will learn that God is with us so we can be brave, wise, courageous, and strong. Who is always with you? God is always with me!

READY FOR LAUNCH:
BOLDLY DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE

Sundays in SEPTEMBER | Grades 1-5

This month, we will learn about the connection between INITIATIVE and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Initiative is seeing what needs to be done and doing it.

God took the initiative by sending Jesus to show us how much He loves us and fix the relationship between us. When we see a need and choose to do something about it, we reflect God’s image in us. Through our initiative, others can see the reality of God’s love for them.

Our memory verse for July comes from Colossians 3:23A and says, “Work at everything you do with all your heart. Work as if you were working for the Lord.” We will discuss how we shouldn’t wait for someone else to do what needs to be done and how we can look for ways to make things right. We will also learn about staying focused on what needs to be done and also how to look for ways to celebrate what God has done. We can’t wait to see you this month to learn about initiative!

CONSTRUCTION ZONE

Sundays in August | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

This month’s theme is Construction Zone, and the incredible machines you see at a construction site are pretty powerful. But we have Someone even more impressive, more powerful to talk about this month. GOD! We can’t wait to teach our preschoolers that God is powerful!

Our preschoolers will hear over and over that God is powerful as they learn true stories from the Bible where God displayed His mighty power. We want them to remember that God is more powerful than anything or any person they will ever face in this world. They can always look to God for help because God’s. Power. Is. AWESOME!

Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm 147:5 and says, “Great is our Lord and mighty in power.” This month, we will learn that God’s power is awesome and can give us what I need. God’s power helps us make the right choice and can protect me. Who is powerful? God is powerful!

DIG DEEP

Sundays in August | Grades 1-5

This month, we will learn about the connection between WISDOM and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Wisdom is finding out what you should do and doing it.

When Jesus was a boy, He grew in wisdom. God wants us to discover wisdom, too. When we make a wise choice, we reflect the character of Jesus to the people around us. That’s why giving kids a strong foundation of wisdom is important. We want to equip them to face down whatever choice they may face in the future.

Our memory verse for July comes from James 1:5 and says, “If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t find fault.” We will discuss how wisdom is worth searching for and how to think before you act. We will learn how we should trust God to give you wisdom and why you should hang out with wise people. We will talk about why you should never stop growing in wisdom. We can’t wait to see you this month to learn about wisdom!

PRESS PLAY

Sundays in July | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

We don’t want trusting God to be hard for our preschoolers. God has done so much to show us that we can trust Him. That is why we are going to continue teaching our preschoolers that they can Press Play and trust God with everything. The music, the dancing, and the instruments continue this month. And, most importantly, we have more true stories from the Bible of people who show us why we can trust God. We want preschoolers to trust that God is always with them. We want them to look to Jesus so He can show them they can trust God. We want them to put on the armor of God and trust Him to use it to make them strong. And, we want them to trust that nothing can ever separate them from God’s love. It is our prayer that they will always remember all of the reasons why they can trust God. As our preschoolers grow up and life begins to feel a little uncertain, we want to make sure they know they can Press Play and trust that God loves them, has a plan for them, will use them, and has the power to do anything in their lives.

Our memory verse this month comes from Proverbs 3:5 and says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” This month, we will learn that we can trust God because He is always with us and He helps us stand strong. Jesus shows us we can trust God. Who can trust God? I can trust God!

Press play: get in the mix

Sundays in July | Grades 1-5

This month, we will continue to learn about the connection between CONFIDENCE and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Confidence is a response to the character of God.

When it comes to confidence, we might try and base it on what we do well or what a teacher or parent might say about us. But true confidence should be built on something that lasts forever. We think that’s found in understanding how God sees us. God created us, and God loves us. Nowhere is this more evident than in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. And, when you put your confidence in Jesus, you can truly see yourself how God sees you.

Our memory verse for July comes from Philippians 1:6 and says, “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.” We will discuss how we can trust that God is always with us and how to stay focused on Jesus. We can use what God has given us to stand strong. We will learn how God loves us no matter what. We can’t wait to see you this month to learn about confidence!
