ALPHABET CHRISTMAS

Sundays in DECEMBER | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

Merry Christmas! It’s time to celebrate the birth of our Savior! We are using the alphabet this month as a fun way to introduce the true story of how God gave us Jesus. One day—sooner than we think—our now preschoolers are going to grow up and start asking some hard questions. How do I know God really loves me? Does God still love me?

We want the answer to be right there and ready for them—I know God loves me because God gave us Jesus. Whenever doubt comes into our heart, whenever our mind begins to ask questions and seek proof, we need only remember back to that first Christmas when God sent His Son to us.

Our memory verse this month comes from Isaiah 9:6 and says, “God has given a son to us.” This month, we will learn that we can God told us He would give us Jesus, then Jesus is born. The angels tell us about Jesus, and the wise men come to see God’s Son.
Merry Christmas! May you be filled with joy this Christmas season as you remember that God loves the world so much, He gave us His Son, Jesus.

LIGHT SHOW:
LET THE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION BEGIN

Sundays in DECEMBER | Grades 1-5

This month, we will learn about the connection between CHRISTMAS and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story.

For many of us, Christmas lights are the best and brightest part of Christmas celebrations. It doesn’t matter if it’s the high-rises in the big city or houses lining Main Street; when the lights come out, it’s a wonderland! People celebrate big at Christmas because there’s Someone big to celebrate: Jesus!
The best gift God ever gave was Jesus. Because of Jesus, it’s possible for us to have a relationship with God that will last forever. As we remember the Christmas story, we take time to celebrate the greatest gift the world has ever known.

Our memory verse comes from John 3:16 and says, “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.” We will learn to celebrate because God can do anything, and He has a plan. We celebrate because God sent a Savior. We will never stop celebrating Jesus!

community garden

Sundays in November | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

This month we are going to use a community garden to teach our preschoolers that “I can thank God for everything.” Wow, there is so much goodness in that one statement!

First of all, I can thank. Choosing to be thankful is the road to contentment, joy, and peace. And we want our preschoolers to have all of that goodness in their lives. Second, I can thank God. Thanking God is how we acknowledge the One giving us all the good in our lives. And third, I can thank God for everything. Yes, even the not so good stuff. When we thank God for everything, we are showing God that we believe He can use ALL things for His purpose and nothing is too big for Him.

We want our preschoolers to know they can thank God for everything. We want them to experience the contentment, joy, and peace that comes from a thankful heart.

Our memory verse this month comes from Psalm 111:1 and says, “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.” This month, we will learn that we can thank God for family, friends, food, and people who help me. Who can you think for everything? I can thank God for everything.

UPCYCLE: ROLL WITH WHAT YOU’VE GOT

Sundays in November | Grades 1-5

This month, we will learn about the connection between CONTENTMENT and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Contentment is learning to be ok with what you have.

Everything we have comes from God. He is faithful to provide what we need. And even more than what we own, God can also provide what we need to face whatever happens in our life. God has proven time and again that we can trust Him no matter what. We can complain or become jealous of what others have . . . or we can choose to respond with contentment, knowing that God has a plan for our lives.

Our memory verse for November comes from Luke 12:15 and says, “Then he said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against wanting to have more and more things. Life is not made up of how much a person has.’” We will discuss how God can help us be content, and we don’t want to miss out on what we have now. We will learn how wanting more and more can make us miserable. We can always use what we have to help someone else. We can’t wait to see you this month to learn about contentment!

SUPER KIDS

Sundays in October | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

Preschoolers love to show adults how BIG they are . . . “Look at my BIG muscles! Look how BIG I can jump!
Look at this BIG bite!”

We don’t have to teach a preschooler to show everyone how big they are. And, if we’re all honest, there’s something deep inside us that wants to do something big, too. We want to show the world that we can do things that matter— things that really matter. Could it be that we were all made to do big things? We think so.
That is why we have planned an entire month around what being a Super Kid really looks like—doing the things God made us to do. God made us to do BIG things!

Our memory verse this month comes from Deuteronomy 31:6 and says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid…for the Lord your God goes with you.” This month, we will learn that God has big things for us to do. He made us to do big things anywhere and to help others. We can celebrate that God made us to do big things.
Who made you to do big things? God made me to do big things.

CUSTOM CREATIONS:
THERE'S ONLY ONE YOU

Sundays in October | Grades 1-5

This month, we will learn about the connection between INDIVIDUALITY and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Individuality is seeing what needs to be done and doing it.

God is one of a kind, with no beginning and no end. Everything God has created is unique and one of a kind, including people created in God’s image. Every person is an original reflection of God in how they love, care for others, imagine, create, and solve problems. To see how we can do this well, we should look to Jesus. Jesus showed us what it means to be created in God’s image in the way He loved all people and helped people feel like they had value—no matter who they were or what they had done. We can reflect on this as we discover who we’re meant to be and live out the individuality God gave us.

Our memory verse for October comes from Psalm 139:14 and says, “How you made me is amazing and wonderful. I praise you for that. What you have done is wonderful. I know that very well.” We will discuss we were made in God’s image. Knowing Jesus changes how we see ourselves. We will learn about using our gifts to help others and how we can make a difference right now. We can use our gifts together to make a greater difference. We can’t wait to see you this month to learn about individuality!
