make waves

Sundays in July | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

Last month, we began teaching preschoolers that they can make waves that can change the world! July brings even more stories to teach our preschoolers how they can make waves with the help of Jesus.

This month we will learn about kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Yes, these can be tough to choose, but when Jesus is my friend forever, Jesus can help me do everything. That is what we want our preschoolers to know. And, when they do choose love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, our preschoolers will make waves that can change the world!

Our memory verse this month comes from John 14:6 and says, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.’”  This month, we will learn about how Jesus can help us choose kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We will also learn how Jesus can help us show God’s goodness. Who can help us do everything? Jesus can help us do everything!

make waves

Sundays in July | Grades 1-5

This summer, we will learn about the connection between MAKING WAVES and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Resilience is getting back up when something gets you down.

We were created in God’s image. God sent Jesus to show us the best way to be human. But God knew we’d need help. That’s why God sent us the Holy Spirit. With the power of the Spirit, we can produce fruit that points others to Jesus. Every month, kids discover something about God’s character and how they can reflect or respond to that character because they are created in God’s image.

Our memory verse comes from Philippians 1:6 and says, “God began a good work in you. And I am sure that he will carry it on until it is completed. That will be on the day Christ Jesus returns.”

We will learn how to show kindness to everyone and how to show God’s goodness to others. We will discuss how to be faithful so others can count on you and how God can give you the strength to be gentle. God gives you the power to have self-control. We can’t wait to see you this summer!

MAKE WAVES

Sundays in JUNE | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

Have you ever seen the commercial where one person does something kind? Then, a person who witnesses this kindness, is motivated to do something kind. Followed by another person seeing this kindness who feels moved to also be kind. It’s not just in commercials. It’s in real life, too. Waves of generosity. Lives changed. And it all begins with one act of kindness.

During the next two months, we are going to be teaching our preschoolers that they, too, can Make Waves when they choose kindness—as well as love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Most importantly, we want them to know that Jesus is there to help them choose these things. Because when Jesus is my friend forever, Jesus can help me do everything!

Our memory verse this month comes from Philippians 4:13 and says, “I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”  This month, we will learn about how Jesus can help us choose love, joy, peace, and patience.  Who can help us do everything? Jesus can help us do everything!

SCAVENGER HUNT

Sundays in May | Ages 3 years-Kindergarten

Preschoolers will ask questions countless times as they get to know the world around them. It’s like they’re beginning a lifelong Scavenger Hunt. This is the perfect opportunity for us to not only tell them what they are looking at but who made it as well. That’s why we are going to add another question to their inquisitive minds. Who made everything? Who made the red ladybug? Who made the grey rocks? The white clouds? The blue bird?

We want preschoolers to know that God made everything. We want them to think of God as they explore and get to know this wonderful, colorful world we live in. And even more, we want them to know that the same God who made everything made them and loves them.

Our memory verse this month comes from Genesis 1:31 and says, “God saw everything he made. And it was very good.”  This month, we will learn about how God created the world in six days. On the seventh day, God looked at everything he made. Then, He rested.

Who made everything? God made everything!

BOUNCE BACK: GET BACK UP AGAIN

Sundays in May | Grades 1-5

This month, we will learn about the connection between RESILIENCE and God’s character, as shown through God’s big story. Resilience is getting back up when something gets you down.

God is strong and faithful, always working in our lives. We might get knocked down from time to time, but when we put our trust in God, we find the strength we need to get back up again. Jesus showed us how to face life with resilience. No matter what happened, Jesus relied on God to help Him accomplish the mission set before Him. Because of Jesus, we can trust God no matter what. We can bounce back from whatever knocks us down and complete the mission God has for us.

Our memory verse comes from Isaiah 40:31 and says, “But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.”

We will learn that God is always with you and trusting him can help you get back up. We will discuss how to keep going even when times get tough and how to choose joy when life gets hard. We can keep going because of what Jesus did for us. We can’t wait to see you this month!
